Personalize Your Hot Rod Through Customizing

When you hear the word customizing, you probably imagine a chopped and channeled ’50 Merc or an overdone Monte Carlo with hydraulics and way too much gold trim. But customizing can also be used sparingly to make a hot rod just a little bit different from the rest, and some custom tricks don’t require the masterful metalwork of Marcel or the foresight of Foose.

Last year’s “50 Customizing Tips and Tricks” (Sept. ’95) was so successful that we thought you’d like to see more neat ideas we’ve unearthed. To appeal to our vast audience of readers, the tips range from the most basic tweak anyone can do to hard-core metalwork requiring serious talent.
