The brakes are upgraded to include larger rotors and Shelby calipers showing through 20-inch Shelby wheels. The underpinnings of the Super Snake are similar to the KR, but it uses more aggressive sway bars and fully adjustable shocks and struts. Also included are the carbon- fiber hood and rocker panels and a full gauge pod loaded with Shelby instrumentation to monitor this beast's vitals. The interior boasts specific Super Snake stitching in the headrests and center console lid, as well as billet sill plates bearing the Super Snake name.

It is worth mentioning that most all the parts used to build both of Shelby's newest creations will be available to purchase from either Shelby Automobiles or Ford Racing Performance Parts. Both the GT500KR and the GT500 Super Snake are fully endorsed by Carroll Shelby and carry a serial number, not unlike the first-generation Shelby Mustangs. "The GT500s are fast, but hard-core enthusiasts asked us for a way to make their car a more aggressive, balanced track car," Shelby said. "These cars prove to be some of the most fearsome musclecars in the world."-Nic Conley
